Damascus, SANA – Ministry of Tourism launched on Sunday the activities of the World Tourism Day, organized under the title “I Belong to Syria…I Belong to the Future”.
The event started with a number of workshops on marketing and promotion skills and tourism media.
Students and graduates from the Faculty of Tourism and representatives of the Hotel & Tourism Training Center participated in the workshops, at the end of which they signed the longest letter of loyalty to the homeland and its leader.
The letter is 10 km long and the signatures covered more than its half after it has toured several provinces.
The Tourism Day also included an activity for cleaning the stream of Barada River, which witnessed a wide popular, official and civil participation, in addition to launching a campaign dubbed “Syria…More Beautiful” to draw and decorate the pillars of al-Rais Bridge in cooperation with the Plastic Artists Union.
Activities will continue throughout the day at different sites in Damascus City, as there will be a Chef Competition at Dama Rose Hotel, photo exhibitions, artistic shows and tourism promotion
films, in addition to signing cooperation agreements with different bodies and honoring tourism and youth figures in the framework of a ceremony at Dar al-Assad for Culture and Arts.
