Provinces, SANA – Scores of terrorists, including from ISIS and Jabhat al-Nusra, were killed as the army units carried out intensified operations against their positions, destroying also their equipment and heavy weapons.
Aleppo
Army units killed a number of ISIS terrorists, injured others and destroyed their arms and ammunition as they targeted their gatherings in the surroundings of the Air Force Academy, 40 km to the east of Aleppo city, a military source said on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists in the city were targeted in various neighborhoods, including Karm al-Maisar, al-Sheikh Lutfi, al-Ameriyeh, al-Rashidin 1, al-Rashidin 4, Bani Zaid, al-Sakhour, al-Ansari, Bostan al-Qassr, Salah Eddin, Bab al-Nassr, al-Sukkari and Qadi Askar.
In the western countryside, which is open to the Turkish border, army units killed many terrorists, mostly from Jabhat al-Nusra, and destroyed their vehicles in Khan al-Assal, 10 km to the west of Aleppo city.
Meanwhile, field sources told SANA that 40 terrorists were killed as a result of the army operations some of the city’s neighborhoods, in Khan al-Assal and in the surroundings of the Air Force Academy.
Earlier on Saturday, army units targeted terrorists and their hideouts in the neighborhoods of Qadi Askar, al-Sukkari, Bani Zaid and al-Kallasa in Aleppo city on Saturday, killing a number of terrorists and destroying their vehicles.
Many terrorists were also killed and their vehicles and arms were destroyed in al-Ameriyeh village in the southern countryside of Aleppo province.
Homs
Backed by the air force, the army units’ operations in the central Homs province killed numbers of ISIS terrorists in al-Qaryatain town, Palmyra city and in the vicinity of Shaer and Jazal oil fields in the eastern countryside of the province.
Army units targeted movements and hideouts of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists in the vicinity of al-Ghanto and Jabourin villages and al-Rastan city, 22 km north of Homs city.
Terrorists’ positions were targeted by army airstrikes in al-Kinn Mountain, al-Tweinan, al-Nashmeh Farm, Atiyan, Abu Rajmeen,Tal Ersan, al-Fasida and al-Duweizin in the northern countryside of Homs province.
A number of terrorists were killed, others were injured and their arms and ammunition were destroyed during the airstrikes.
Army units targeted dens and movements of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists in al-Ghajar, Burj Qae and Beit al-Rai near al-Rastan 22 kilometers to the north of Homs.
The army launched airstrikes against terrorists’ gatherings and movements in the villages of Al-Saan al-Aswad, al-Zaafaraneh, al-Ghanto, Um Sharshouh, and the areas surrounding Deir Foul anf Talbiseh, killing several Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists and destroying their weaponry.
Hama
In the neighboring Hama province, an army unit targeted terrorists from “Jaish a-Fateh” in al-Bahsa village in the northwestern countryside, destroying a vehicle and a mortar launcher and killing their operators.
The army’s air force later targeted terrorists’ positions, killing a number of them and destroying their vehicles, some of them equipped with machineguns, in al-Mouzara, al-Ziara and Eidoun in northern and southern Hama.
Also in the northern and northwestern countryside of Hama province, the Air Force targeted terrorists’ hideouts north of Morek and in the village of al-Mansoura, killing a number of terrorists, injuring others, and destroying a number of their vehicles along with the terrorists on board.
ISIS terrorists were killed in army airstrikes in Adla andTuloul al-Homr in the eastern countryside of Hama province.
Air strikes also targeted movements of ISIS terrorists in al-Qastal and al-Uqairibat in the province’s eastern countryside, leaving a number of terrorists dead, injuring others, and destroying their vehicles and equipment.
Idleb
In Idleb province, numbers of “Jaish al-Fateh” terrorists were killed and their vehicles, arms and ammunition were destroyed in army airstrikes on their gatherings in Freikeh, Mhambel and Saraqeb to the south and southwest of Idleb city.
The Air Force also eliminated a number of terrorists from “Jaish al-Fateh” terrorist organization in a series of air strikes on their concentrations in the areas of Ma’aret al-Nu’man and Khan Sheikhoun in the southern countryside of the province.
A military source told SANA that the airstrike, which targeted terrorists’ positions in the villages of Heesh, Ma’aret Hermeh, Sheikh Mustafa, Tarmela in the aforementioned areas, eliminated a number of terrorists and destroyed their vehicles, weapons and munitions.
Sweida
In southern Syria, popular defense groups killed four terrorists and injured others in an ambush in an area between the villages of Lahtha and Radimet al-Liwaa on the eastern sides of al-Lajat Plateau in the northern countryside of Sweida province.
The terrorists’ weapons and ammunition were seized.
Daraa
An army unit targeted with concentrated fire a terrorist group moving in an area to the east of Tal al- Mal in the northern countryside of the southern Daraa province near Tal Mashara in Quneitra countryside, a military source told SANA, adding that all members of the group were killed or injured and their weapons and equipment were destroyed.
Another army unit killed and injured scores of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists southeast of the Electricity Company in Daraa al-Balad neighborhood in Daraa city, according to the source.
A vehicle transporting terrorists, weapons, and equipment was destroyed during an army operation south west Abu Hureira mosque in the Camp area in Daraa al-Balad.
An army unit killed a number of terrorists, injured others, and destroyed a rocket launcher in al-Soura town 30 kilometers northeast of Daraa city.
Lattakia
38 terrorists, most of them from Chechnya, were killed in army operations in the villages of al-Mreij and al-Rawda in the northern countryside of the coastal province of Lattakia.
Quneitra
A unit of the Army and Armed Forces carried out special operations targeting hideouts of terrorist organizations in the village of Jabata al-Khashab in the countryside of Quneitra province.
Sources on the ground told SANA that the operations left a number of terrorists dead and others injured, in addition to destroying a vehicle equipped with a 23mm heavy machinegun and mortar launchers that terrorists had been using to shell nearby villages.
The sources also said that another army unit destroyed a 12mm artillery gun and one vehicle used by terrorists in al-Zebda hill near the town of al-Hamidiye.
Later, a military source told SANA that an army unit killed and injured a number of terrorists and destroyed a machinegun-equipped vehicle they had been using in the town of al-Hamidiye.
