Damascus, SANA – The Alliance of Palestinian Resistance Forces organized on Saturday a forum in Damascus to express solidarity with al-Aqsa Mosque and the prisoners in the Israeli jails.
Benjamin Netanyahu, Prime Minister of the Israeli occupation entity, broke into the holy mosque on Wednesday amid brutal assault against Palestinians at the site of the mosque that started on Sunday.
Confrontations erupted between the Israelis and Palestinians at the site of the mosque on Wednesday as the Israeli settlers and troops attacked Muslim worshipers for the fourth consecutive day.
The Israeli forces have repressed demonstrations in the occupied Jerusalem and other Palestinian cities that broke out in defense of al-Aqsa Mosque, which was raided by the Israelis through Bab al-Magharbeh.
Secretary of the Alliance Palestinian Resistance Forces Khaled Abdul-Majid condemned the silence of the Arab League on the incident and its collusion with the Israeli forces.
This collusion, he said, has encouraged Netanyahu to break into the mosque and impose measures on judaizing and dividing the mosque.
He called for a unified Palestinian stance on the basis of resisting the Israeli occupation.
For his part, Hussein Jum’eh, Head of the Arab Writers Union, Member of the Syrian Popular Committee in Support of the Palestinian Intifada, said that desecrating al-Aqsa Mosque is part of the US-Israeli scheme targeting the Arab countries and is aimed at liquidating the Palestinian Cause.
Representatives of various Syrian and Palestinian forces, factions and parties attended the forum, which was held at the Palestinian National Council.
Al-Aqsa Mosque is Islam’s third holiest site after Masjid al-Haram in Mecca and Masjid al-Nabawi in Medina, Saudi Arabia.
