Civilian killed, 12 injured in terrorist attacks in Damascus

Damascus, SANA- One civilian was killed and 8 were injured on Sunday after terrorists fired a mortar shell on Bab Touma neighborhood in Damascus, a source at Damascus Police Command told SANA.

The source added that terrorists also fired shells at al-Amara and al-Mazra’a neighborhoods in the city, with the shells landing on houses and causing material damage.

The source also said that a month-old infant girl sustained an injury in her head from a piece of shrapnel after a mortar round fell on a house in Maarouna village in al-Tal area.

Three more shells fell in Rukn Eddin area, injuring two women who were rushed to Ibn al-Nafis Hospital and causing considerable material damage to a house.

The terrorists also fired three shells on al-Adawi, al-Qassa’ and al-Tijara neighborhoods, casuing the injury of a civilian and material damage in two houses.

On Sept. 12th, three civilians were killed and around 15 were injured in a terrorist attack with two mortar shells launched by the terrorists on Damascus Central Prison in Adra area in Damascus countryside, and 11 were injured by terrorist mortar attacks on al-Mazzeh and al-Qazzazin areas in Damascus.
