Tartous, SANA – Ministry of Electricity received on Thursday 5 out of 12 electrical transformers provided by China according to a contract, which arrived via Tartous Port.
Director of the General Establishment for Electricity Transmission Nassouh Simismiyeh told SANA that the capacity of each transformer is 125 MW AMP, the max capacity for the power network in Syria.
He pointed out that the transformers will support a number of converter stations in the provinces to help cover the needs at the active and suspended power stations.
