More than 230 thousand students start High school final exams

Damascus, SANA- More than 230 thousand students started their high school (Secondary) final exams Monday.

Ministry of Education said in a statement that 1892 centers have been prepared with all the necessary exam requirements, including 1562 exam centers for Public Secondary Schools, 45 centers for Religious Secondary Schools and 285 centers for the vocational Secondary Schools.

The ministry added that a center was opened to register the students of Raqqa in Hama province.

As for the displaced students from Idleb province, they can take their exams in any province they are residing in, where a number of exam centers have been opened under the name of their province to insure their right in pursuing their educational attainment, the ministry added.

The number of students taking high school (Secondary) final exams includes 3197 students from religious education and 26847 others from vocational one.

Minister of Education Hazwan al-Waz toured a number of exams centers in Damascus and said that pursuing the educational study and exams constitutes the best response to the enemies of education and knowledge and indicates that Syria is so steadfast.

The exams are scheduled to last till June 18th.
