Hasaka, SANA – Two citizens were killed on Saturday when terrorists of “the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria” (ISIS) organization fired mortar shells on many neighborhoods in Hasaka city.
A source in Hasaka told SANA that the terrorists targeted Hasaka city with a number of mortar shells that hit several neighborhoods, claiming the lives of two civilians and injuring 19 others, and causing material damages to public and private properties.
Meanwhile, a source in Hasaka dismissed allegations of media outlets about the security situation in the province.
The source told SANA that life in the province “is running its normal course and state institutions are functioning as usual” despite ISIS attacks, the most recent of which had rocked the province this morning when terrorists fired shells on houses, killing two.
The source saw that the media fabrications are but an attempt “to mar the successive victories of the army and armed forces against ISIS terrorists in scores of villages.”
