Damascus, SANA-In cooperation with the Technical Institute of Applied Arts at Damascus citadel, Fine Arts Directorate of the Ministry of Culture kicked off on Tuesday the forth oil painting forum dubbed ” Syria… a bridge of Love”.
Head of the Fine Arts Directorate, Imad Kashout said in a statement to SANA that choosing such a title for the forum brings to mind that Syria is the country of peace and love which has published art, science and beauty to the whole world since prehistoric times.
Kashout affirmed that the invitation to establish a museum for the new art is still going on, clarifying that an electronic site about the new Syrian art is established on the Internet network.
He asserted that the site includes electronically archiving the photos of the works acquired by the Ministry of Culture and the related information in a way that eases reaching to any artistic work to save the national heritage of arts.
12 fine artists known by artistic experiences and cultural presence in the Syrian Art participate in the forum which lasts till April 22nd.
Artist Nather Hosni, a participant, clarified that this forum allows the participants to present their works according to their techniques and varied artistic visions.
