Riyadh, SANA-Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jassim Mohammed Al-Badawi, congratulated President Ahmad al-Sharaa on assuming the presidency of the Syrian Arab Republic.
In the congratulatory cable published by the website of the General Secretariat of the Council, the Secretary General expressed his sincere congratulations and best wishes to His Excellency the President al-Sharaa on this occasion, stressing his confidence that Al-Sharaa’s wise leadership will contribute to achieving the aspirations of the brotherly Syrian people towards security, stability and prosperity.
The Secretary-General also reiterated the GCC’s firm support for Syria during this period, and its commitment to stand by the brotherly Syrian people in order to achieve Syria’s unity, sovereignty and independence.
