Tartous, SANA-A tanker carrying domestic gas arrived at the oil terminal of the Syrian Oil Transport Company in Baniyas city and began unloading its cargo today.
It is the second tanker to arrive after the fall of the former overthrown regime.
The head of the marine terminal department at the Syrian Oil Transport Company, Eng. Majd al-Sini, said in a statement to a SANA that the company’s cadres began the process of unloading the gas tanker “Gas Catalina” with a capacity of 4,600 tons of domestic gas, after the Baniyas Gas Department took samples, analyzed them, and gave approval, so that the connection and unloading process could be completed.
Al-Sini pointed out that the crews of the marine division in the terminal department, accompanied by the connection boat, the guide, and the sailors, headed directly to begin the process of connecting the ship to the berth designated for importing domestic gas and kerosene.
