Terrorist assault against village in al-Salamiyeh leaves 48 civilians killed

Hama, SANA – The death toll of the terrorist assault against the residents of al-Mabouja village in the central Hama province on Tuesday rose to 48.

Other civilians were injured in the massacres which the takfiri terrorist groups committed in their attack against the village which took place early in the morning, with the Police saying that most of the victims are women and children.

Units Of the army, in cooperation with the popular defense groups and local residents, clashed with the terrorists, inflicting heavy losses upon them in personnel and equipment.

The terrorists, the Police told SANA, destroyed, vandalized and burnt down tens of houses after robbing them.

The village, which is located 7 km to the east of al-Sabboura area in the countryside of al-Salamiyeh city, was attacked from different directions, the Police said.

SANA quoted a military source as saying that the army units dismantled around 40 explosive devices which terrorists had planted in the residents’ houses in the village.

Earlier this month, takfiri terrorists perpetrated a massacre in al-Qanafez town in the eastern countryside of al-Salamiyeh city, killing five civilians leaving many others wounded.

In August, 2014, 7 siblings were killed in an attack by an armed terrorist group in al-Mzeiraa town in al-Salamiyeh countryside.
