Israeli settlers uproot hundreds of olive trees, southern Nablus

Occupied Jerusalem, SANA- Israeli settlers on Wednesday, uprooted 500 centuries-old olive trees in a village, southern Nablus in West Bank.

Head of the village council, Yousef Al-Hajj Muhammad, told WAFA that the occupation had prevented the farmers from accessing their lands for two years, and after they were able to enter them today, they were surprised to find that the settlers had cut down more than 500 old olive trees.

According to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, settlers and occupation forces have carried out 239 attacks against olive pickers since the beginning of this year’s olive harvest season until the beginning of this month, during which a number of farmers were killed and injured by shooting, olive trees were burned and cut down, the crop was stolen, and dozens were prevented from reaching their lands.
