Syria: Israeli occupation ban on UNRWA work in Palestinian territories flagrant violation of international law

Damascus, SANA- Syria condemned Israeli occuaption’s ban on work of United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) in the occupied Palestinian territories, and depriving the Palestinians of humanitarian aid.

“The Syrian Arab Republic condemnes that measure whihc aims to undermine more Palestinian rights, particularly the right to return, and impose collective punishment policy against Palestinian people, in coincides with the ongoing war crimes, genocide and forced displacement committed every day against the Palestinians,” Foreign and Expatriates Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.

The statement added that the Zionist occupation entity continues obvious violation of the UN resolutions and international law by imposing a ban on the work of “UNRWA” in the Palestinian territories, which will deprive the Palestinians of obtaining the necessary humanitarian aid. “

“Syria stresses the illegitimacy of this measure, and calls for supporting the UNRWA’s work in providing aid to the Palestinians, as it warns against the disastrous consequences resulting from preventing Palestinians from humanitarian relief,” said the statement.
