In phone call with Araghchi, Sabbagh renews Syria’s condemnation of flagrant Israeli aggression on Iran

Damascus, SANA- Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Bassam Sabbagh, has made a phone call with his Iranian counterpart, Abbas Araghchi during which he renewed Syria’s condemnation of the blatant Israeli aggression on the Islamic Republic of Iran which took place on Saturday at dawn.

Minister Sabbagh expressed Syria’s strong solidarity with the Islamic Republic of Iran in the face of the aggression to which it was subjected, stressing that this aggression constitutes a flagrant violation of Iran’s sovereignty and a violation of the Charter of the United Nations.

Sabbagh upheld Iran’s right to defend itself and protect its territory and the lives of its citizens.

Minister Araghchi, for his part, thanked and appreciated Syria’s firm position in condemning the Israeli aggression, stressing the importance of the two countries standing together to confront it and affirming his country’s support for Syria against any Israeli aggression on its territory.

Ministers Sabbagh and Araghchi underlined the need to work with other states to put an end to the ongoing Israeli aggression against the states and peoples of the region, bring the perpetrators of the Israeli acts of aggression to justice and hold them accountable for their crimes and ensure that they do not go unpunished.
