Syria participates in coordination meeting of Arab Reading Challenge in UAE

Dubai, SANA-With the participation of Syria, the preparatory coordination meeting of the 9th edition of the Arab Reading Challenge initiative was held in Dubai.

During the meeting, the general coordinator of the initiative in Syria Ali al-Abbas, reviewed the difficulties and work mechanism, and what was implemented in the eighth season of the initiative, as a presentation was given of the updated digital library that will constitute an incentive for students participating in the reading challenge.

He presented’’ the reality of the competition in Syria and the reasons for its success, pointing to the role of the Ministry of Education and its plan in promoting the Arabic language and encouraging reading, which formed the basis for building students’ skills.”

Al Abbas stressed that one of the reasons for the success is also the integrated competition team, pointing out that the ministry worked to establish the National House for Reading and Writing to be an incubator for all students and supervisors, and the extent to which this experience can be generalized at the Arab level, which contributes to supporting the Reading Challenge experience and deepens educational and cultural relations between countriesز
