Moscow, SANA-The BRICS countries affirmed unconditional respect for Syria’s sovereignty and condemned the criminal attacks committed by the Zionist entity in the region, particularly in southern Lebanon.
The BRICS countries, in a final declaration following their meeting in the city of Kazan, under the motto “STRENGTHENING MULTILATERALISM FOR JUST GLOBAL DEVELOPMENT AND SECURITY,” called for the unconditional respect for Syria’s sovereignty and the protection of its territorial integrity.
The Group condemned the Israeli attack on the Iranian Embassy and detonating pager sets in Lebanon.
Regarding the current events in the region, the BRICS states expressed their deep concern aboutthe ongoing conflicts and instability in the region, especially in Lebanon.
“We strongly condemn civilian casualties and extensive damage to civilian infrastructureas a result of the Israeli occupation attacks on residential areas in Lebanon,” the declaration said, calling for an immediate cessation of hostilities.
