Syrian-Iraqi coordination to help displaced people from Lebanon

Damascus, SANA- Local Administration Minister, Louai kharitah met Thursday with Karim al-Nouri, undersecretary for the Iraqi ministry of migration and displaced.

The two sides discussed during the meeting following up on the procedures adopted to receive arrivals from Lebanon to Syria due to the Israeli aggression, ensuring an emergency humanitarian response to them, and combining Syrian-Iraqi efforts regarding the arrival of some of the displaced to Iraq.

Minister kharitah presented a set of measures that the Syrian government has taken in every sector to secure the requirements of the arrivals and prepare their reception centers, in addition to providing all necessary assistance to them.

In turn, al-Nouri said that his visit to Syria comes within the framework of following up on the conditions of Lebanese expatriates in Syria as well as helping Syria in its response and providing the necessary support to alleviate the suffering of those arriving in Syrian territory.

He also, thanked Syria for receiving refugees and meeting their needs.
