Damascus, SANA- Governor of the Central Bank of Syria (CBS) Dr. Adib Mayyaleh affirmed on Sunday that the bank does not publish any news or information about the mechanisms and conditions of intervention in foreign currency market or the exchange rate.
The governor said in a statement to SANA that media reports about the intervention session scheduled for Tuesday, particularly the one
published by Syria Stocks site which is publishing from outside Syrian lands, are “misleading analysis.”
These reports are primarily meant to galvanize persons into engaging in buying and selling processes of foreign currency at specific prices whereby the site’s administrators can make big
gains.
He considered these news as part of an economic war against the Syria intended to hurt national economy.
