Occupied Jerusalem, SANA-Dozens of Israeli settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque on Monday.
Palestinian media reported that the settlers stormed Al-Aqsa from the Al-Maghariba Gate and carried out provocative tours in its courtyards under heavy guard from the occupation forces, which imposed strict restrictions on the entry of Palestinian worshipers into it.
The head of the Palestinian National Council, Rawhi Fattouh, warned of the occupation’s plans aimed at changing the status quo in Al-Aqsa, indicating that any attempt to harm the mosque will lead to disastrous repercussions in the region.
Fattouh called on the international community and the United Nations to assume their responsibilities and work immediately to put an end to these plans that violate the UN resolutions that prohibit any change in the status quo in the city of Jerusalem and its Islamic and Christian sanctities, pointing out that the Palestinian people will continue their struggle to protect Al-Aqsa and all sanctities and defend their land and rights, and that Jerusalem will remain the eternal capital of the Palestinian state.
