Nicosia, SANA- Syrian Community in Cyprus, in cooperation with the Syrian Embassy in Nicosia, staged a sit-in to protest against the Israeli acts of aggression on the Syrian territory, the last of which was the aggression that targeted several areas in surroundings of Masyaf, resulting in the deaths of a number of martyrs and the injury of others.
The protesters underlined their solidarity with their homeland ,Syria, and called on the countries of the world and the international organizations to condemn the Israeli aggression on the country.
Head of the diplomatic mission in Cyprus, Ammar Awad stressed that Syria is continued to confront all challenges, especially terrorism, occupation, illegal foreign presence, and the negative effects of unilateral coercive measures imposed on the Syrian people.
He denounced the International silence regarding the Israeli disregard for international law and all international conventions, and stressed Syria’s firm right to defend the sovereignty of its lands and liberate its occupied land by all legitimate means guaranteed by international law.
