Damascus, SANA– President Bashar al-Assad made a phone call on Saturday, with Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, president of Egypt, congratulated him on the anniversary of the June 30 Revolution, in which the Egyptian people triumphed over extremism.
President al-Assad stressed that the June 30 Revolution restored Egypt to its natural place that expresses the culture, values and concepts of the Egyptian people, considering that if the region had fallen into the trap of extremism and radicalism that was set for it, it would have been difficult for this region to rise again.
the President confirmed that the Syrian and Egyptian peoples’ constant stand against extremism contributed to protecting the countries of the region and all their peoples.
Presidents al- Assad and el-Sisi exchanged congratulations on the new Hijri year and wished the peoples of the region and the world peace and security.
