Minister: losses of the transport sector during the terroristic war exceeded $147 billons

Damascus, SANA-Transport Minister Zouheir Khzeim said that the losses of the transport sector during the terroristic war to which Syria was exposed exceeded $147 billons.

The Peoples’ Assembly, chaired by Speaker Hammoudah Sabbagh, discussed the performance of the Ministry of the transport and the issues related to its work.

“Despite the blockade conditions and weak funding, priorities have been re-arranged to target important projects like maintenance and rehabilitation works to the railway network which is 1052 km length,” the Minister added in a brief he made to the MPS.

He affirmed that works are underway to double efforts and keep the performance of the ports, serve the coming and departing ships.
