Russia-DPRK agreement is a warning to countries planning to solve regional problems by military means

Moscow, SANA- Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko stressed that the comprehensive strategic agreement signed between Russia and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) is not directed against South Korea or third countries.

“This treaty is a kind of warning for those countries that probably expected to or would plan to solve the problems of the peninsula and the region as a whole by military means,” Sputnik quoted Rudenko as saying in a statement on Tuesday.

Russia has repeatedly stressed that this treaty is not directed either against South Korea or against third countries, it “is not aimed at undermining the already difficult situation in the Northeast Asia region”, Rudenko noted.

On June 19, Russia and DPRK signed a comprehensive strategic partnership agreement that will form the basis for long-term relations between the two countries, during Russian President Vladimir Putin’s visit to Pyongyang.
