Madrid, SANA- Spain’s Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, announced Tuesday the decision to recognize the Palestinian state entered into force, stressing that this step constitutes a historic step that allows for peace to be achieved.
RT website quoted Sánchez as saying that taking this decision is for sake of peace, and in implementation of the Spanish Parliament mandate that approved in 2014 an informal proposal regarding this issue, stressing this recognition is just the beginning.
Sánchez underscored that adopting this resolution is in line with UN resolutions stressing that his country does not recognize the changes made by Israel after 1967 without an agreement with the Palestinian side.
