Syria, Saudi Arabia discuss supporting health sector

Geneva-SANA- Minister of Health, Dr. Hassan al-Ghabash, discussed with Advisor to Saudi Royal Court and Supervisor of the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz al-Rabiah, means of launching cooperation and providing support and coordination mechanisms necessary to support the health sector in Syria.

That came during a meeting held Saturday in Geneva, and Minister al-Ghabash reviewed health and humanitarian situation in Syria.

The two sides agreed to provide appropriate support directly bilaterally or through the World Health Organization, noting the visit of the organization’s Regional Director, Dr. Hanan Balkhi, to Syria.

For his part, al-Rabiah pointed out the Center’s desire to support the health sector in Syria and the importance of continuous communication to serve the citizens there.
