Vienna, SANA- Syria and International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) discussed on Monday boosting cooperation in various fields, including support for Syrian National Committee to Combat Cancer.
That came during a meeting between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Bassam Sabbagh, and Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Mariano Grossi.
On the sidelines of their participation in International Conference on “Nuclear Security”, Sabbagh and Grossi discussed, with the presence of Dr. Ibrahim Othman, Director General of Atomic Energy Commission of Syria(AECS), means of enhancing the technical support provided to Syria by the Agency, particularly capacity building and qualification of cadres.
Sabbagh hailed the efforts exerted by the Agency in preparing well for the work of the International Conference on Nuclear Security, and providing support and assistance to member states.
