Education Minister holds several meetings with Arab counterparts on sidelines of ALECSO conference

Jeddah, SANA-Minister of Education, Muhammad Amer Al-Mardini, discussed Friday with the acting President of the General Conference of Arab League’s Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO), Mohammad al-Sudairi the important role of education in building society through raising the generation in a correct way and developing educational relations between Syria and Saudi Arabia.

Al-Mardini briefed head of the Saudi delegation to 121st session of the ALCSO  the Ministry’s plan to develop the educational process and ensure the quality of education, the rehabilitation of damaged schools, and the role of the local community in supporting the educational sector in Syria, pointing out the importance of exchanging educational experiences and enhancing cooperation between the two countries.

For his part, Al-Sudairi referred to the complementary role of the family with the school, which contributes to creating an educated and aware generation, stressing the importance of enhancing Syrian-Saudi educational relations.

During a meeting with the Director General of the Organization, Mohamed Ould Omar, Minister Al-Mardini highlighted Syria’s important historical role and the importance of its effective participation in all of the Organization’s activities.

In a similar meeting with the Lebanese counterpart, Judge Muhammad Wissam Mortada, Al-Mardini reviewed the ministry’s work in the field of developing the educational situation and updating legislation, pointing out the importance of education in society and in all aspects of life and the necessity of strengthening educational and scientific cooperation with Lebanon.
