Moscow, SANA-Russian Al-Quds Center in Moscow held a mass event on the occasion of international al-Quds Day (Jerusalem Day), as an expression of solidarity with the Palestinian people and other Arab peoples who are exposed to the continuous Israeli aggression supported by the United States and its allies.
Al-Quds Day coincides this year with the loss of tens of thousands of victims due to the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip and the Occupied Palestinian Territories, Sergey Baburin, Chairman of the Russian Jerusalem Committee said.
Baburin strongly condemned the ongoing Israeli attacks on the Syrian territory, the latest of which was the targeting of the Iranian consulate building in Damascus, which proves the true terrorist essence of the Israeli entity
He stressed that Syria stands on the front lines of the struggle against the Israeli occupation and always demands the liberation of all occupied Arab territoriesز
In his speech during the event, the Syrian ambassador to the Russian Federation, Dr. Bashar Ja’afari said “All of Palestine is sacred, not only Jerusalem, where archaeologists indicate that the two oldest cities in the world are Jericho in Palestine and Damascus in Syria.”
Palestinian issue is a just cause that has revealed the hypocrisy of Western societies and Western politicians, al-Ja’afari said asserting that despite Israeli terrorism and its sponsors, the Palestinian cause is much stronger than the might of this entity.
Al-Ja’afari expressed Syria’s support for this great and strong solidarity on the part of friends in the Russian Federation towards the struggle of the Palestinian, Syrian, Lebanese and Iraqi people, stressing that victory is inevitably comingز
The Syrian ambassador considered that the International Quds Day event comes at its appropriate time and in its natural place in Moscow, that the Celebrating this day has a very great meaning because first the Soviet Union and then the Russian Federation have supported the justice of the Palestinian cause and Arab issues from time immemorial until now.
He condemned the horrific crimes and massacres committed by the Zionist gangs against the Palestinian people, pointing out that these massacres committed against the Palestinians in Gaza, the West Bank, and Jerusalem are evidence and proof that the Israeli entity is more terrorist, more barbaric, and more brutal.
Al-Ja’afari said that the Israel’s attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus, its killing of international relief workers in Gaza, and the slaughter of 400 sick and wounded people in al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza are events that took place in just one day, which confirms the terrorism and brutality of this entity.
