President al-Assad chairs a meeting for commanders of security apparatus in the army and armed forces

Damascus, SANA- President Bashar al-Assad chaired a meeting for commanders of the security apparatus in the army and the armed forces in the presence of the cheif of the National Security Office and the Security Affairs Advisor in the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Republic.

The expected impact of the restruction taking place in the security field and developing coordination among the apparatus in a way that enhances the performance of the security forces in the upcoming phase, as well as developing counter-terrorism tools after the significant results achieved over the past years, were the focus of the meeting.

The meeting developed a security road map according to strategic visions that imitate international, regional and internal challenges and risks, which reflects on the security of the homeland and citizens, and the security of the armed forces as well.

President al-Assad stressed the anticipation and preemptive important role of the security apparatus in combating terrorist organizations and constantly tracking down cells that attempt to harm the nation’s security and safety, noting that the citizen and  their security is always the highest goal of the work of all security apparatus.
