UNRWA warns of exacerbating hunger levels in the Gaza Strip

Occupied Jerusalem, SANA- The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) has warned of the exacerbating hunger levels in the Gaza Strip.

“The residents of the Gaza Strip are suffering from a catastrophic state of hunger, and 40 percent of them are at risk of famine,” Director of UNRWA Affairs in Gaza, Thomas White, said Sunday on the “X” platform, according to Wafa Agency.

“Every day in Gaza is a struggle for survival, in search of food and water,” White added, noting that there is a need for more regular humanitarian supplies, which require safe and sustainable access for the residents of the Strip.

White attached a video clip showing the arrival of hundreds of Palestinians to the UNRWA aid convoy in Gaza City, in light of the people’s dire needs for food and emergency supplies.
