Syria, Iran discuss latest developments

Tehran, SANA-Prime Minister Engineer Hussein Arnous met at his residence in Tehran , Secretary of the Iranian Supreme National Security Council, Rear Admiral Ali Akbar Ahmadian, as they discussed bilateral relations and the latest regional and international developments.

Arnous said “The governments of the two countries are working to implement what was agreed upon on the ground in order to achieve practical achievements that serve the interests of the two countries and the two friendly peoples in light of the unjust pressures and sanctions they are exposed to.”.

The Prime Minister stressed that bilateral cooperation will reflect positive results on both sides and the entire region.

For his part, Ahmadian said Syria has an important and pivotal role in the region, expressing his confidence that Syria will return stronger than it was.

He pointed out that the axis of resistance is strengthening despite all the pressures and threats.
