Syria calls on UNSC to put an end to Israeli aggressive policies

Damascus, SANA- Syria called on the UN Security Council to put an end to the aggressive and expansionist Israeli policies that threaten to ignite the region and push it towards a comprehensive escalation.

“Israeli occupation forces launched on Friday at dawn an aerial aggression from the direction of the occupied Syrian Golan, targeting some points in Damascus vicinity and causing material damage,” Foreign and Expatriates Ministry said in statement.

The ministry said that Syria stressed that continued Israeli occupation of the occupied Arab lands in Palestine, Syrian Golan, and southern Lebanon represents a grave threat to regional and international peace and security.

The ministry added that war crimes, and crimes against humanity, including the crime of genocide, which occupation authorities continue to commit them against the Palestinian people are only a result of the inability of the United Nations bodies, especially the Security Council, to take decisions that oblige Israel to stop the massacre in Gaza Strip.

The ministry concluded that ““Syria warns the Israeli occupation authorities against continuing their attacks on Syrian lands and affirms its inalienable right to defend its sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity and its determination to fully restore the occupied Syrian Arab Golan up to the borders of June 4, 1967, by all means guaranteed by international law.”
