Zakharova: Biden’s speech about establishing an independent Palestinian state is words that contradict his actions

Moscow, SANA- Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that the U.S. administration did not deal seriously with the Middle East issues, and ignored the central Palestinian issue.

“US President Joe Biden’s statement about the need to establish an independent Palestinian state is just talk without any practical result on the ground”, Zakharova said in a statement.

She pointed out that Washington’s unilateral approach in dealing with Middle East issues, and particularly the Palestinian issue, threatens very serious consequences on the region, which is what we are witnessing nowadays in Gaza Strip.

Zakharova stressed Russia’s firm position, based on the necessity of finding a comprehensive and just solution to the region’s issues, most notably the Palestinian issue, without which peace cannot be achieved there.
