WHO declares losing communication with contacts in Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza

Geneva, SANA- The World Health Organization (WHO) has announced that it lost communication with its contacts in Al-Shifa Hospital in northern Gaza. As horrifying reports of the hospital facing repeated attacks continue to emerge.

“Grave concerns for the safety of the health workers, hundreds of sick and injured patients, including babies on life support and displaced people who remain inside the hospital”,” the WHO said in a statement quoted by Reuters.

The WHO reiterated its call for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.

Spokesperson for the Gaza Health Ministry Ashraf al-Qudra said that operations in Al Shifa hospital complex, the largest in the Palestinian enclave, were suspended on Saturday after it ran out of fuel.
