Riyadh, SANA- President Bashar al-Assad met Saturday with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi in Riyadh on the sidelines of Arab-Islamic Extraordinary Summit.
The two presidents discussed the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories, the Israeli aggression against Gaza Strip, and the situation in Syria.
They stressed the joint work to support the steadfastness of the people of Gaza, and Syria and Egypt support against the policy of displacing the Palestinian people from Gaza, which the Israeli entity is working on.
President al-Assad considered that the aggression on Gaza is a new Israeli attempt to liquidate the Palestinian issue.
For his part, al-Sisi affirmed his country’s rejection of the displacement attempts that affect the people in Gaza.
He also reiterated Egypt’s support for Syria in its war against terrorism and its adherence to Syria’s unity and sovereignty over its entire territory.
