UN agency officials call for ceasefire and humanitarian aid access to Gaza Strip

New York, SANA- Officials of the main UN agencies called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and access to humanitarian aid.

Officials from those agencies said in a joint statement on Sunday, according to AFP: “In Gaza, an entire people is under siege and attack, deprived of access to the necessary elements for survival, and residents are being shelled in their houses, shelters, hospitals, and places of worship, and this is unacceptable.”

The statement said: “We need an immediate ceasefire for humanitarian reasons. 30 days have passed, and this is enough, and this must end now”, the statement said.

The officials stressed the need to allow more food, water, medicine, and fuel to enter the Gaza Strip to help the people.
