Mikdad, Lavrov discuss Israeli brutal aggression on Gaza

Damascus, SANA-Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Fayssal Mikdad, discussed on Tuesday with his Russian counterpart,Sergey Lavrov, the latest developments in the region and the Israeli ongoing aggression on Gaza.

The talks that were held in a telephone call, dealt with the necessity of boosting bilateral relations between Syria and Russia.

Mikdad warned against the danger of Israeli brutal escalation in Gaza and the crimes perpetrated against the Palestinian people.

He appreciated the distinguished stances adopted by the Russian Federation against the Israeli aggression on the Palestinian unarmed people.

Mikdad renewed Syria’s support for the Russian military operation in Donbas.

Lavrov, for his part, said his country categorically rejects the Israeli aggression on Syrian facilities and lands, calling for “an end to the military acts in Gaza, and warning of the extension of conflict scope in the region.”
