Cuban President condemns brutal Israeli bombing of Gaza Strip

Havana, SANA- Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel condemned in the strongest terms the brutal bombing carried out by the Israeli occupation entity on the Gaza Strip, the killing of its people and the destruction of their homes, hospitals and civilian infrastructure.

Diaz-Canel’s remarks came in a televised speech published by the Cuban presidency on Saturday.

The President stressed that nothing can justify what the Israeli occupation forces are doing in Gaza, and nothing can justify the serious violations of international humanitarian law that they are committing.

The Cuban President noted that the US veto against a draft resolution that simply calls for a humanitarian truce in Gaza in order to allow aid to arrive is not surprising because Washington has historically played the role of an accomplice to Zionist barbarism by repeatedly obstructing the work of the Security Council with regard to Palestine.
