Damascus, SANA- President Bashar al-Assad on Tuesday granted Ambassador of Czech Republic in Damascus Eva Filipi the Syrian Order of Merit of the Excellent degree in appreciation for her efforts to develop and boost relations between Syria and the Czech Republic.
“President al-Assad instructed to offer Ambassador Filipi the Syrian Order of Merit in appreciation for her achievements, during her career in Syria, that came in the interests of the both peoples,” Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Fayssal Mikdad, who awarder the Ambassador the Order of Merit in a Farwell ceremony, said.
Mikdad hailed the Czech Republic’s stance that kept its embassy in Damascus open during the terrorist war waged on Syria, saying that Mrs. Filipi has encouraged her government to provide Syria with whatever possible of humanitarian aid.
Ambassador Filipi, who ended her mission as Ambassador of her country to Syria, thanked President al-Assad for that honor, appreciating the Foreign Ministry and the Syrian people for their cooperation to accomplish her duties in the country.
