Syria, Iraq discuss enhancing security relations

Baghdad, SANA- Iraqi Interior Minister Abdul Amir al-Shammari discussed Saturday with Syria Ambassador in Baghdad Sattam Jadaan al-Dandah means to enhance bilateral relation between the two countries at all levels, including the security level and securing the common borders.

Both sides discussed the importance of granting the Syrian community in Baghdad s residency after obtaining a deadline to settle their status, al-Dandah told SANA correspondent in Baghdad.

The strengthening of the security of common borders with surveillance cameras and barbed wire to prevent the infiltration of terrorists from and into Syria and Iraq was also emphasized.

During the meeting, the Syrian Ambassador handed an invitation to al-Shammari extended by the Syrian Interior Minister Mohammad al-Rahmoun to visit Syria and sign MoU on the security cooperation between the two ministries.
