Damascus, SANA- Syriac Orthodox Patriarchate of Antioch and All the East condemned the terrorist attack that targeted the Military Academy during the graduation ceremony in Homs.
The Patriarchate said in a statement that “we received the sad news of martyrdom a group of soldiers and civilians during the attack that targeted the graduation ceremony of military Academy officers students in Homs.”.
The statement added that the suffering of Syrian people continue as a result of prolonged violations, acts of violence, and terrorist attacks in addition to the unjust and unilateral siege, the economic crisis, and its repercussions on the livelihood of citizens, denouncing these violations and calling for stopping the siege and lifting of sanctions on the Syrian people.
The statement offered condolence to martyrs’ families, wishing speedy recovery to the wounded.
