Moscow, SANA-Syria’s Ambassador in Moscow Riad Haddad affirmed Wednesday that the countries which fight terrorism, on top, Syria, with a support from friendly states, are doing so on behalf of the whole world, saying that the double standard policy will lead to the outbreak of terrorism.
Haddad, at a scientific symposium entitled “the situation in the Middle East… possible means to come out of the crisis”, called those who claim combating terrorism to cooperate with those who actually fight it, not with those who support it.
He affirmed that the so-called international coalition to fight the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorist organization, led by Washington, is really “a war with terrorism, not a war against terrorism,” pointing out to the flagrant contradiction between UN resolutions 2170, 2178 and 2199 on fighting ISIS, from one hand, and the agreement signed between Washington and Ankara to train what they named “moderate opposition”, from the other.
For their part, participants in the symposium called for preventing any foreign intervention in Syria and supporting the Syrian State and its legitimate government, referring to the danger of ISIS organization on the region and the whole world.
