Int’l Conference for Islamic Unity starts in Tehran with participation of Syria

Tehran, SANA- With the participation of Syria and 110 intellectuals from 41 countries, the 37th session of International Conference for Islamic Unity began in Tehran on Sunday.

Iranian President, Ibrahim Raisi, said in a speech at the opening session ‘Our common vision currently means steadfastness and resistance in the face of enemies, not normalization and surrender’, adding that unity represents the way to confront the cultural, media, and economic war.

Raisi underscored the necessity to focus on Islamic unity, which means harmony and coordination to serve the interests of the Islamic world, and to consider it as a method.

President Raisi noted that the enemy is fighting the unity of the Islamic nation, stressing that liberating Palestine is the most important issue for the Islamic nation.

He went on saying that the goal of holding the conference is creating unity and solidarity among Muslims and bring closer the scientific and cultural viewpoints of scholars and forming unified nation in the Islamic world, solve problems in this regard.
