Syria expresses solidarity and condolences over victims of devastated Storm Daniel in Libya

Damascus, SANA- Syria expresses its heartfelt condolences and solidarity with the Libyan government and brotherly people due to the Storm Daniel lashed eastern Libya and left more than 3000 deaths.

Foreign and Expatriates Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday that “The government of the Syrian Arab Republic offers heartfelt condolences to the Libyan government and brotherly people over the painful ordeal caused by the devastated Storm Daniel and claimed the life of more than 3000 people and left thousands of injured and missing people, in addition to large material damages.”

The statement added that “Syria sincerely shares the fraternal leadership, government and people of Libya in their plight,” and expressed its condolences to the families of the victims, the missing and the injured.

“Syria is confident that the sisterly Libyan state would be able to overcome difficulties, and the Libyan people and their institutions would overcome the catastrophic impacts of this hurricane,” said the Foreign Ministry statement.
