Damascus countryside, SANA-With participation of Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Dr. Fayssal Mikdad and a number of Syrian expatriates, Damascus Countryside Expatriates Forum 2023 kicked off Sunday evening in al-Nabek city, Damascus countryside.
‘The permanent task of the foreign ministry is supporting millions of Syrian expatriates all over the world’, Dr. Mikdad said in a press statement.
He stressed that this group of society has shown love and commitment to its homeland in the struggle against terrorism and occupation until achieving the final victory.
Mikdad also underscored the necessity of holding such meetings which encourage convergence of ideas and help to solve problems.
The expatriates called for communicating with the Jordanian authorities to facilitate traffic procedures for passing through Jordan, solve the problem of delayed passports and residences, exempt expatriate cars from customs duties, in addition to providing a power line exempt from electricity outages for the factories in al-Nabek.
They also called for obtaining approvals for establishing tourist facilities in the al-Saqi area, al-Nabek city, in addition to facilitating import of raw materials needed for the industry.
