Mrs. Asma al-Assad meets Mrs. Maryam Zadjali… talks deal with cooperation in humanitarian and developmental domains

Damascus, SANA- The talks between First Lady, Mrs. Asma al-Assad, and Mrs. Maryam bint Issa Al Zadjali, Member of the State Council of Oman, have focused on a number of titles, most importantly, bilateral cooperation between Syria and Oman in the humanitarian and developmental domains.

Mrs. Asma al-Assad considered that the humanitarian and social bridge among states is the strongest point in relations among them, saying that what has been offered by Sultanate of Oman to Syria in the face of the catastrophic impacts caused by the earthquake deserves thanks and appreciation.

“The common moral, cultural and intellectual values that gather Syria and Oman are of no less importance than what gathers them on the political level,” Mrs. Asma said, adding that keeping these common values are of great responsibility on the level of institutions and individuals.

Mrs. Zadjali, for her part, affirmed that her visit to Syria carries humanitarian, cultural and developmental meanings.

“Syria and Oman have to increase cooperation in the health and developmental fields, particularly in the face of cancer, in addition to exchanging expertise on the level of the institutions concerned,” Mrs. Maryam said.

She added that what gathers Syria and Oman surpasses policy and diplomatic ties into the brotherly ones which are embodied by the Syrian and Omani peoples.

Mrs. Zadjali is the founder and chairperson of Dar Al Atta’a Association that works in the field of family care and support of education.
