Aleppo, SANA – Aleppo Governorate sent humanitarian assistance that contained medical and food packages in addition to children apparel to residents of Bustan al-Qaser neighborhood in Aleppo city in cooperation with the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) and Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC).
Aleppo Governor Mohammad Marwan Olabi told journalists after delivering the aid that the three-truck convoy aid comes within the governmental efforts and joint action with the international organizations and NGO’s to facilitate the delivery of relief aid to those who are in need and affected by the current crisis wherever they are in the country.
For his part, Head of UNHCR in Syria Tareq al-Kurdi stressed that UNHCR continues in providing relief and humanitarian aid to the affected Syrian citizens due to the crisis, expressing gratitude to the Syrian government and the SARC for cooperation and facilitation provided to deliver the aid successfully.
On 17th December, Aleppo Governorate in cooperation with Syrian Trust for Development sent an aid convoy carrying 1,000 food packages to the villages of Sheikh Najjar and Sheikh Zayyat, which are located near the industrial city in Aleppo’s northeastern countryside.
