Syria, Oman ink three MoUs, executive program at conclusion of joint committee works

Muscat, SANA- The meetings of the 6th session of the joint Syrian-Omani committee were concluded in Muscat on Thursday, chaired by Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade Dr. Mohammad Samer al-Khalil, and Omani Minister of Economy Said bin Muhammad al Saqri.

During the meetings, Dr. al-Khalil and the Omani Minister of Information, Dr. Abdullah Nasser bin Khalifa al-Harrasi, signed 3 memorandums of understanding and an executive program in the fields of media, projects, investment and maritime activities.

Minister Al-Khalil said in a statement to SANA correspondent after signing the memos that the meetings of the joint committee witnessed important discussions in all sectors, in addition to holding discussions with a number of ministers in the Sultanate of Oman.

He pointed out that the talks were constructive in all sectors, and they reflected the keenness of the two sides to enhance bilateral cooperation in all fields, in a way that would serve the two brotherly countries and peoples.

In turn, Syrian Ambassador to Muscat, Dr. Idris Mayya, expressed his satisfaction with what was achieved at the conclusion of the work of the 6th session of the joint governmental committee, especially with regard to the memos of cooperation and understanding that were signed between the two countries.
