Damascus, SANA- Syria and UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) have discussed means to boost educational cooperation, particularly in the domain of providing textbooks.
That came during a meeting that brought together Minister of Education, Dr. Darem Tabbaa and Director of UNRWA Affairs in Syria, Amanya Michael Ebye.
Minister Tabbaa underlined the ministry’s keenness to support UNRWA’s work to ensure the high quality of the educational process, hailing the participation of the agency in the training courses organized by the ministry for its administrative and teaching staff.
For his part, Ebye thanked the Syrian government for its support for the UNRWA, especially allowing it to use 40 government schools after a number of the agency’s schools were damaged during the war waged on Syria, in addition to providing textbooks, and supporting various programs.
