Five quakes recorded over the past 24 hours- NEC

Damascus, SANA- Five quakes were recorded over the past 24 hours, the National Earthquake Center (NEC) said.

The center stated in a statement the stations of the National Seismological Network recorded 5 weak earthquakes, two of which were in Turkey, whose intensity ranged between 2.3 and 2.5 magnitudes on the Richter scale, and two tremors in Iskenderun with magnitudes reaching up to 3.3.

The center added that the stations also recorded a 1.8 magnitude quake 14 km northwest of Hama.
